Patty Vela, a volunteer with PANCAN, the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, talks about the ordeal that her family has been through since her husband Ruben was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2019. She offers hope to others on the same journey. She encourages anyone diagnosed with pancreatic cancer to connect with PANCAN, because the organization offers so much information and help. She says while it is legal, it is dangerous, especially to young people, whose brains are still developing.
